Inner West Private Hospital

A major new development in Sydney's Inner West, bringing state-of-the-art medical facilities to the growing community.

Facility Overview

Inner West Private Hospital is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in 2027. Designed as a Class 9A hospital building, it represents a significant, long-term healthcare investment for the area, supported by a secured 120-year lease.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

  • Patient Capacity A 40-bed hospital equipped with a dedicated 6-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
  • Surgical Capabilities The facility will house 9 modern operating theatres.
  • Accessibility The hospital will provide 115 dedicated parking spaces for patients and visitors.

Relationship to the Inner West Medical Precinct

The Inner West Private Hospital is designed to be the anchor for Sydney's newest health precinct. The precinct represents a shared vision between two entities: Impact Medical and IWPH Property Holding (which manages the hospital). Both companies share a founder, serial entrepreneur Shady Eskander.

Rather than functioning as an isolated facility, the hospital is heavily integrated into a broader, multidisciplinary healthcare ecosystem in Burwood. Its relationship to the precinct is defined by:

Strategic Proximity

To ensure seamless patient care, the hospital is built adjacent to essential services, including a General Practitioner (GP) clinic, a pharmacy, and radiology.

Complementary Network of Services

The hospital sits at the centre of an expansive medical network that covers almost every stage of patient care. This network includes:

  • Victoria Tower Medical: The largest medical centre in the Inner West, offering comprehensive primary care with over 27 GPs, 17 consulting rooms, a pharmacy, pathology, and X-ray services.
  • Burwood Urgent Care: Opened in December 2025, this is the Inner West's first urgent care clinic, designed to provide faster access to care and reduce emergency room wait times.
  • Burwood Specialists: A multidisciplinary centre providing expert care in areas like cardiology, endocrinology, general surgery, and obstetrics.
  • Rehabilitation & Outpatient Care: The precinct features Burwood Physio, an NDIS-registered provider, and the Burwood Fracture Clinic, which will manage and treat bone fractures starting in March 2026.
  • Future Expansion (Tower 4): Opening concurrently with the hospital in 2027, Tower 4 will add over 1,400 square metres of specialist centres and consulting suites across four commercial floors.
