A world-class facility dedicated to oncology diagnosis, treatment, and patient support in Papua New Guinea.
The Comprehensive Cancer Centre represents a major milestone in Papua New Guinea's healthcare development. This facility is being designed to provide a full spectrum of cancer care services, from early detection and diagnosis to advanced radiation therapy and palliative care.
The project involves sophisticated engineering to accommodate high-spec medical equipment, including linear accelerators and nuclear medicine capabilities, all while ensuring a comfortable and healing environment for patients.
Clinical operations are currently targeted for mid-2026, with the ground floor scheduled for completion in September or October 2026.
Phases I and II are complete. Phase III (Engineering/Infrastructure) is approximately 80% complete, and Phase IV has recently commenced.
The 2026 National Budget has earmarked K60 million to complete the unit.
